How It Works
The image is drawn onto an HTML5 Canvas and re-exported using canvas.toBlob() with a JPEG or WebP quality coefficient between 0 and 1. Lower quality values produce smaller files by increasing compression artefacts in regions of high detail.

JPEG quality 70% typically reduces a photo by 40–60% with no visible quality loss at normal viewing distances. Further reduction is possible at quality 50% with minor artefacts.
Does it support PNG?
PNG files are losslessly re-exported. For significant size reduction on PNGs, convert to JPEG or WebP using the Image Converter tool — transparency permitting.
Is there a file size limit?
No server-side limit. Very large images (20 MB+) may be slow to process depending on your device, as the work is done entirely in your browser.
