Why this page exists
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep, so that something can be remembered between page loads. Some are genuinely useful; some exist to sell advertising. This page lists every one TextWonder is responsible for, in both categories, rather than describing them in the abstract.
Note that the tools themselves use no cookies at all. Your text and files are processed in your browser and never stored — see the Privacy Policy. The cookies below relate to running the site, not to what you put into it.

Google may set additional cookies from its own domains as part of ad delivery. We do not control that list; Google documents it in its cookie policy.
The three categories
- Preference (first-party). Your theme choice and any
saved tool draft. These live in
localStorageon your device and are never sent to us or anyone else. Blocking them costs you nothing except that the site forgets your theme. - Analytics. Google Analytics 4, used to see which tools get used and which pages are broken or ignored. Aggregate only — we cannot identify you from it.
- Advertising. Google AdSense, which pays for the site. These are the cookies that make ads personalised, and they are the ones most people want control over.
How to refuse them
Every tool on this site works fully with all cookies blocked. Nothing is gated behind consent.
- Personalised ads — switch them off at Google Ads Settings, or opt out across many networks at aboutads.info and Your Online Choices (EU).
- Analytics — install Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on, which applies everywhere, not just here.
- Everything — block third-party cookies in your browser: Chrome and Edge under Settings → Privacy and security, Firefox under Settings → Privacy & Security, Safari under Preferences → Privacy. Most browsers also offer a private window that discards cookies on close.
- Local storage — clear site data for textwonder.com, or use the Clear button inside any tool.
Changes
If we add a script that sets a cookie, it gets a row in the table above and the date at the top changes. That is the whole process.
