How It Works
Uses PDF.js to render each page onto a canvas at 2x resolution, then inverts every pixel colour value (255 minus R, G, B). The result is embedded as images into a new PDF using pdf-lib and downloaded to your device.

Does the output PDF still have selectable text?
No — the pages are rendered as images, so text is no longer selectable in the output. Use the original PDF for searching and copying text.
Will coloured images look correct in dark mode?
Inverting all colours means photographs and coloured graphics will look like a negative image. Dark mode works best for text-heavy documents with simple graphics.
Can I convert back to light mode?
Yes — just run the dark-mode converter on the dark PDF again to re-invert the colours back to light mode.
