Number Base Converter (DEC / HEX / BIN / OCT)
Convert numbers between decimal, binary, hex, and octal.
About Number Base Converter
Type a number in any base — decimal, binary (base-2), hexadecimal (base-16), or octal (base-8) — and instantly see it converted to all other bases simultaneously. Supports integers up to 64-bit range.
Use Cases
Converting memory addresses from hex to decimal, checking bit patterns in binary, decoding color hex values, computing permission bits in octal, learning number systems.
How It Works
Uses JavaScript's parseInt(value, fromBase) to parse the input number, then .toString(toBase) to output in each target base. All four conversions happen in a single pass.
FAQs
What is the maximum number I can convert?
Numbers up to 2^53 - 1 (JavaScript's safe integer limit) are supported without precision loss.
Are negative numbers supported?
Yes. Enter a minus sign before the number in decimal mode. Two's complement representation for binary is shown separately.
